it seems to me that Credit Card companies, put in place rules that fuck over the person who is out of a job, but still trying to take care of their bills. and the people with jobs actaully get breaks from them.
i have been having money issues since my divorce, well since my seperation actually. i was first seperated in june of 2005. divorced in oct. 2006.
in the time between my father died, i actullay had to take off work for months to help out with him b4 he died. and got really behind.
when i went back to work, the credit card companies put me on a payment plan to help get me back on track. Awesome!! everything was going great until i lost my job in october of 2007, but i stuck with the payment plans until jan. of 2008. so im still trying to take care of my debt to keep it from going to a collection company. but now they wont keep me on the plan because im not working which really means my monthly payments are 3 times what they were when i was working.
dont make sense to me.
basically it was "oh, Mr. XXXXXX now that your not working we need the full amonunt each month instead of the small amount that you were paying when you actually had an income"
WTF?
how many people right now are saying fuck the bills and c.c. companies due to loss of job and the economy and job market being shit!?!?!?
here i am, still trying to do the right thing, and im being shit on every step of the way.
sorry. long post. whinning, blah blah blah.
end of rant.

Credit card companies are a half a step above pond scum. I will only have one credit card (Discover). Even Discover sucks. My mother has been a Discover customer forever and she was late with one payment a few weeks ago because she was out of the country and they had the nerve to call her up to ask her for money. Ass faces.
To top it off, Sallie Mae, the college loan company are harassing me with my late payments which i haven't made in two months, calling me ten times a day. I've always been on time with all my CC and loans monthly payments, they never call or send me any letters until I lost my job and stop paying them.
 What I'm about to get from my tax returns will probably go to my debt which will be the first time I'm unable to spend my tax return money.
I'm 25 and never have I've been this miserable situation before. It sucks so much!

ccs, its simple:
"work with me or you get nothing and Ill let the debt go completely and declare bankruptcy"
also, check your rate, if you are paying too much in interest negotiate a reduction or transfer the balance to a low interest card.
those are essentially what a credit counselor would do for you.
Verona??? it's all surmountable

Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
Chicago 07? And love
What a different life
Had I not found this love with you
My advice is to just keep pushing. Don't give up, don't let them beat you.
All will be fine if you keep trying.

Good point, I gave them too much credit.....no pun intended.
