i remember reading a couple weeks ago the 3 of 4 (or was it 2 of 3?) UN aid carriers were seized by the same people, and the last one denied... so they kept all of it and none of the poor people who are in need are getting any aid...

    what a horrible situation.
i bet it'll be a movie in 5 to 6 years... it sounds like one of those crazy movies anyways.

This is the same country who, 5 days after the cyclone, had an election, and their people voted the military government back in with a resounding majority!
The same country where the leader of the oppisition political party has been under house arrest for 11 years or so!

you cannot expect much from the military reigeme running the place there, they want to look big and strong to their people, like they don't need outside help, and they are stockpiling all aid and handing it out themselves, making them look like the good guys!

As bad as it may sound, i will not be donating any money to some form of aid for this disaster, as i know, until the UN or some of the large charity and aid orginisations are running relief efforts on the ground, my donation will not go where it needs to be going!

    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

im with ya on the donation thing. as it stands now, the money would not go to where it is needed.
which makes it even more fucked up.
