so i know i'm a little late on this. only took me about 9 years to watch this movie, but i finally did last night. wow. this was one of the best movies i've seen in a long time. anyway, thought it could be a good discussion, a lot of things going on in this movie. can't believe i let this one slip by for so long.

    have you seen adaptation? it takes place, at times, while on the set of being john malkovich.

    i love both, own both.

    great great movies, i would slightly favour adaptation.

    I have yet to see being john malkovich...keep meaning to but forgetting. I have seen adaptation and simply love that one:)

    I'm not sure what to discuss because I haven't seen it in years but I remember really loving the film, which is really unusual for me.

    both of them are excellent, excellent choices and I too would have to go with adaptation as being slightly better but Nick Cage is a legend....and I am forgetting about ghostrider

    This is the second best movie from the 90's right behind Pulp Fiction.
    I can't believe it didn't get more Oscar nominations that year, only got 3.

    I love how Craig(Cusack) keeps telling everybody how great of an actor Malkovich was and everyone kept asking, what movie he was and Craig always said he was in the jewel thief movie.

    Catherine Keener was really good in this one. Maxine was such a bitch towards Craig.

    I think she did a bunch of indies and TV shows before Being John Malkovich- which she was 40-y-o when this came out. Not sure why it took her so long to get recognized.

    She was great in ITW and also the 40-Year-Old Virgin as well. She had a small scene in Out Of Sight(the Clooney/Lopez '98 flick).
