Help with a quote

Hey everybody,

I'm trying to think of a quote for a paper for school, it basically amounts to:

Live your life (that's paraphrased)... so that death itself trembles to take you

I thought it was a Kerouac quote but I can't find it and it's driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
