Happy to see the Jim/Pam thing, hope the writers don't turn it the other way and screw it up.
And why did Michael hire Ryan as a temp again? Ugghhh, so stupid.

    Two things...

I hope they don't drag out the Michael missing out on opportunities with the new chick because that could get old quick.

Bringing Ryan back as a temp is just dumb writing.

as the receptionist? i thought that was great!

i loved tonight. the lines mentioned were awesome...plus the new girl yelling at angela and then finding out kevin's not 'mentally challenged', the goatee. i missed those guys, glad they are back. :)

It was a pretty good episode, not as "one-quote" as most episodes are, but for sure memorable quotes and moments! Loved Pam and Jim.....

Also, the beards, huh???? Not a good look for any of them!

Was it just me or did the editing get screwed up, when Jim was eating lunch with Michael and Holly, Michael didn't have the goatee but then it was back in the next scene.

Also what was up with Meridith's face during the second weigh in, looks like she had a chemical peel but there was no mention of it, maybe it was cut.

I don't think it was dumb, but looking back on it, there's no way a judge would have given Ryan community service for that. He would have gotten hard time.

  • Bringing Amy Ryan in as Holly has to be one of the best casting moves ever in sitcom TV.

Did anyone see "Gone Baby Gone?" She was OUTSTANDING in that.. she's awesome.

  • The best moment for me was the look on eveyones face (and they all did it) after Pam got off the scale and was trying to figure out how much she weighed! Just the looks made me chole on my sandwich.

Then the Stanley (the office accountant, hah) being off by 100 lbs, and the best line of the night.

    Math is hard. :D

Yup. We rewound it just to check. Michael's goatee was there and gone and back in the next scene. Bad editing! Good catch.

HILARIOUS EPISODE!!! A lot better than last season's opener. One of the best episodes in all seasons. I was laughing the whole time.

I liked Michael talking about will power, saying he went without sex for 28 years, and then for another 7....

  • It drives me insane that I have class during the office every week. What REALLY drive me insane is the moment I get home, my husband spills the beans on the whole episode.

    so much for on demand.

I think it was a pretty weak episode. It had it's moments, but for the most part I thought it was on the bad side.
    I agree.
To think I passed on a second helping of Kitchen Nightmares for that.
One of the only funny things was when Michael asked what everyone thought was the number one killer in America and the second answer was 'scared to death'.
    That was hysterical.
And yeah, what was up with the blotchy red face??

I didn't really care for the episode too much. I think an hour is too long for that show. It kind of runs out of steam imo.

I enjoyed all of the pictures Michael put on the wall when he was dressed as Michael Clump, like Jabba the Hut and the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. :D

    from angela's blog:
Some of you were confused about Meredith's sunburned face. She actually had a talking head that explained it all. It was very funny, and hopefully you will see it on deleted scenes on nbc.com.

i didn't check it out yet, though
