So I run a weekly radio show within my local university. I play the latest and the greatest from the world of blues. Last semester, I ran the show on a monday, so i called it "The Monday Blues"...but I've moved to thursday this year!

Thought I would post here to see if anyone has any ideas for a new show name? So far I have "The Crossroads", "CrossRoad Blues", "Blues Before Sunrise"??

Thanks for any help.

Honestly? I would keep it the same. Every now and then you could add "Now on Thursday" after you say "The Monday Blues," but if you have even 1 fan who looked forward to your show, they'll be happy. It also kind of establishes you as an experienced DJ.

I say this as someone with years of experience as a DJ and was the "Queen of the Rock of the 80s lunch" back in the day. Even when I switched to a different shift, people still knew me as that.

Just my two cents. Take it or leave it ;)

Thanks for that. I have thought on this, as I really did like my old show name. Initially, I thought it would just be confusing but you raise a good point on mentioning "Now on Thursday"

    Hmmm...tough decision:)

I think it's clever! Especially because it's kind of a double entendre & chances are you really do have fans (don't know about you, but I was always surprised when people actually wanted to listen) who will be psyched.
It works. I say stick with it.

  • thats true. It's happened me a few times where people have come up to me and they're like " youre that guy that does the Monday Blues show!"....totally shocked me! So I think I will keep the name, thanks for your help!
