Puck drops on the '08-'09 season in under 45 minutes! Then we get to wait a few days for the 26 others teams to get rolling. Who else is stoked?

Post your thoughts/feelings here.

As a Flyers fan, I'm rooting for Tampa (ugh) and Ottawa (eh) today and tomorrow. Psyched to see Stamkos in his first NHL game as well as the Wizard Crosby, even if his wingers are now Mirsolav "Fucking" Satan and Ruslan Fedotenko.

I have Center Ice, so I get it anyway, but it's great news that the NHL Network will broadcast Hockey Night in Canada in the US this year. Even if Grapes seems to be growing as senile as Stan Fischler (Ovechkin won't be as good this year? WTF?!)

    Fucking right, Stamkos has looked alright, im just love seeing games that matter today, even tho my Leafs have 2 pre-season games left.

    TB is basically a pond hockey team from the looks of it. Their D hadn't a clue back there. I worry about a kid like Matt Carle's development on this team. Oh, and poor Mike Smith. He was fantastic, even after the apparent injury. Levcavalier looked tired after the first period.
    For the Rangers, I was impressed with Gomez. He was flying out there. That top line's gonna be something to watch. Lundqvist picks up where he left off. I don't think he can be beat low.
    Not much of a game otherwise.
    On to PGH/OTT...

    missed the TB/NY game but it's good to hear stamkos looked good, i'm counting on him for 60points.

    just turned on the ott/pit game and it's 1-0, even though i hate the sens with a passion, i hope alfredsson gets a goal.

    Lundqvist is a great goalie but i don't think he comes close to his 10 shutouts from last year
