I have nothing against prunes but I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I ate one. Possibly while visiting a grandparent as a kid...

big marketing push here in cali to rebrand them as "dried plums"

guess the term "prunes" sparks up too much of an old person, laxitive like image.

  • Yes, love prunes.
I hate that some people seem to think calling them dried plums is better. Fuck you, they're prunes!

Dried figs are also amazing. The brown ones, not the mission figs.

I have never eaten a prune. I don't eat spoiled fruit. That includes raisins.
    That just isn't right.

    Sorry....

Bread pudding in general? Please, don't let that be the case. Seriously, one of my favorite desserts.

I have to be honest...I have never tried it. :o
But the thought freaks me out.
    Same with rice pudding. :(
    It just doesn't seem right.
Dessert is a chocolate cake or peach pie.

  • I like prunes, but I dont like the new individually wrapped "dried plum" bullshit...what the hell is wrong with eating prunes from those waxy boxes? my god if your image is wrapped up in what you eat you have more serious issues than whether or not you can shit.

I don't like stewed prunes tho - because that reminds me of 3 days before school started...my mom used to make all us kids clean out our pipes...and stewed prunes for breakfast was one of her methods...sadistic woman! :D

Agreed. Stuck up about a fruits packaging and name is pure elitism. Die, fascists!
