Could be a sweet(er) deal. Or it could be a scheme to sell bottled piss...lol...

    I'm thinking the former.

Fanch is the only person I can think of that likes crappy beer enough to drop that kind of $. Is he a multi-billionare by any chance? If so, I cheerfully withdraw all snarky remarks about aformentioned individual and their taste in beer.

That's how you make mass-market American beers good, by getting the Belgians to take over.

Now if only some Germans can take over the number 2.

It's true. I am really from Belgium and I am buying A~B so that I can have endless Natty, with access 24 hours a day! Bet you wish you had your own Natty beer cave. Well, I will.

Yeah, it does suck but so does Budweiser and most other domestically mass-produced beers.

That's why I stick with locally brewed micro-brews.

My favorite Dos Equis and Red Stripe both imported beers. In fact I'd like to have a beer this weekend it's Father's Day.

I'm due it's been about a month since I've had a beer and it's never Bud or any other form of AB.

most american breweries are heavy on rice(like AB).

    miller is still wheat.

better taste, and less headaches from wheat beers.

Down with AB. Budweiser is disgusting! It would be a shame to have such a respected company like InBev (who produces Stella Artois - the best beer around) to buy a company that produces such sh*t!

I am apalled as a former resident of Belgium that our main beer company would buy a company that makes such piss poor beer!

On a side note, I don't get how the US can buy other countries' companies, but when another country is trying to buy an american company everyone gets all up in arms.

Things such as rice and corn used in the brewing process are called adjuncts. They are basically a filler ingredient to make the beer lighter in body (taste as well).

and by the way...Miller uses corn as their adjunct, so they are no better than BUD.

Oh, and Miller is NOT a wheat beer. Something like a hefeweizen is a wheat beer.
