I thought this was a joke when I first saw this but I know the Yankees won't stay in last place forever! For that matter the RAYS staying 1st either.

    funny cuz the big orange juice dome doesnt attract any fans even though they were in first place, and who ever is there is yankee fans

    i dont know...im a huge yankees fan, but im not into them lately...ever since last year....but they can turn this season around easily....always remember the last 2 weeks of the season whoever is in first can be up 8 games, and it can change after those 2 weeks (happens every year ;) )

    Umm no way things will stay this way. Need I remind you of the last few Yankee's seasons. They start off near or at the bottom and by the All-Star Break are fighting with the Red Sox for first place.

    Not to pat mysel on the bak, but I've been telling people for 2 or 3 years that if they were in the NL, they'd be a perennial wild card contender, at least. People would try to use it against the yankees, that they play tampa 19 times a year. Too bad I didn't put any money on them being good.

    I think it has a lot to do with them being bad for so long, they got a top draft pick every year. Could you imagine if they didn't let Josh hamilton go in one of the more boneheaded moves ever? They lost Hamilton because they didn't keep him on the 40 man roster,a nd he was claimed.I forget who it was, but they released some scrub within days of deciding to keep Hamilton off the 40 man. That scrub occupied a spot on the 40 man.

    Another factor---maybe even moreso---since they're such a young team, they're not laden with steroid users, and even amphetamine users of teh past. These guys came up thru the system, and have been tested for all that stuff for years now, long before there was testing in the bigs. Our guys (yankees, Red Sox and just about any other veteran team) are adjusting to life without amphetamines.
