I am watching this new show on Fox called Fringe. It is pretty cool. I think X-files fans will like it, and it has some odd elements of Lost. It deals with fringe science, hence its name. Anybody catch this show?

I thought the previews looked cool. When they started talking about astral projection I'll admit it kinda caught my attention, haha.

astral projection is the shit :D the concept anyway, tried it out, never got to far. but this seems like a cool show but i can see it losing steam after the first season unless jj abrams has something else up his sleeve, but thats what i said about lost and now its like my heroin.

I liked it although it lagged a little in places. You could see JJ Abrams' influence all right. I'm interested to see where they take it. It definitely reminded me of the X Files.

I think it was pretty good for a pilot episode. I am going to watch the next couple and see where it goes. I thought the special effects were pretty good for a TV show.

I loved those things as well. I also liked that you never really knew whether he was trying to help her or use her to further his experiments.

    Is it supposed to be?

I also loved the scene where they were sitting around eating chinese takeout and watching spongebob and the mad scientist was getting such a kick out of it...and the cow behind them. lol And then he comments on how wonderful it is to have a show following the antics of a sponge...or something like that.

Pacey is HOT! But his character's sarcasm was a bit too much.

Probably not...but I am extremely biased...there's no one nearly as hot as My Sawyer.

P.S. Yes that was a funny scene indeed.

    NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

Watching the whole thing through with the Boys! Each night. They want to watch the creepie show.

The 5 year old figured out Michael was up to no good in Season 2.

Love that show. How are we going to make it to Feb :(

I loved the fact that there was alot of humor involved.
I have to say, I couldn't stand that guy from the very beginning...the guy that was working for that big corp..the one that was dying...
I don't know the name of the character actor, but I know I have probably never liked anything he has done.
I was so psyched when we found out he had only been dead 5 hours...I can't wait to see what happens with that.
I am confused as to how he was able to control his thoughts while they were doing the experiment and not give anything away to her....maybe he was so 'programmed' into his part that he kept playing her lover??

  • i enjoyed it, though i think it lagged a little at times (it seemed like they wanted to fill the hour and half). i imagine future episodes will move faster.

What i see is Alias (season 1) meets Lost (Season 4) .... and that is a compliment.

You and I seem to like the same stuff! I also lol at SpongeBob and a few other places.
I love Lost and am definitely giving this a chance. I like the characters so far and want to know what happens.
So good signs, but we'll see. :)
