Anybody watching the new version? It is pretty good. The original from the 60s still has a certain charm, however.

    Yea, you are right. The book was 1969 and the film was dated 1971. I read the book in school, and saw the film in the theater. The 1971 film was really good. Both the book and movies scared the crap out of me.
