    I just found out I got accepted into my Ph.D program of choice and I'm getting fucking blazed on 4/20. Fuck ya. This is the happiest I've been for a long time. I'm celebrating by listening to lots of live PJ and now I'm listening to Gorrillaz Demon Days and drinking Duvel, and puffing on some sweet chiva of course. To all my sweet chiva smoking bretheran out there, I solute you.

    Not to be a buzz kill, but why would people pick Hitler's birthday as a counterculture holiday? Why not the summer solstice or May 1st, maypole day?

    Every day is a counterculture holiday :D (Even Jesus' birthday)

    It has nothing to do with Hitler anyway. Who the hell even cares or knows when Hitler's birthday was? It's not like a bunch of stoners said, we need a day, let's do it on Hitler's birthday. 420, from what I understand, was first a code or (an hour) to meet after school to smoke pot. 420 also happens to be April 20, which is, by sheer conincidence Hitler's birthday.
