me too. nicholas cage is the only person i can think of that has the power to keep me away from a movie. his breathy voice gets under my skin.

Not a big Nic Cage fan, but I've got to give him his props: "Lord of War" was freakin' sweet.

Tell ya who I want to hate but can't: Leo DiCaprio. Maybe it's because he was in that shitter, "Titanic," but I never want to believe he'll do a good job. Then, he goes out and puts on quality performances.

This thread is funny. There's a handful of actors who annoy me, but are in some movies I enjoy. Not sure how people can't "hate" people who've never really done anything bad to them. Annoying, yes. Hating, there has to be some jelousy involved.

Tom Cruise is annoying, but is in some good movies.
I've never intended it to be hate with exception to Nic Cage.
Though I did enjoy Face/Off. The key word is "prompt"

I'm sure after a few words of mouth and critical praises,
one will eventually see that actor's movie.

    EDIT: Prompt =
    1. done immediately: done at once and without delay
    2. quick to act: ready, punctual, or quick to act

ah, some rappers are good :) Tupac went to the Harlem stage school and his films were actually pretty good. Totally shows Tim Roth up in Gridlock'd.

Also, Mos Def is pretty good.

I hate Nicholas Cage but I tend to love his films DESPITE him being in them.

I’ve just noticed a lot of these are because I have issues with their voices: Nicole, Russell and Heath just seem to whingy when doing American accents. Renee is very nasal. Carrey, Stiller, Murphy, Wyans… way too fucking loud and stupid. Sandler, what’s with that 3 year old voice he tends to do?

Won't even look at a Nicholas Cage film just cos he's in it, even if it looks like it could be a good film.

Not a fan of Jim Carey either, although I did think Bruce Almighty was OK

All his movies are pretty much the same.
I can tolerate with Jackie Chan
because he add some comic element to his films.
