Where Are The Good W.M.A Basketball Players At?

There's plenty of good/elite European and non-U.S. born white players in the NBA but there's absolutely no good white male Americans at all.

A couple of drafts ago, I thought Adam Morrison and J.J. Riddick were the new great white hope. I remember Keith Van Horn's draft day in '97, thought he was the great white hope, but nope wrong again. They're all just bench warmers!!!!!

I want some new Bird, McHale, Maravich, Ric Barry, Bill Walton, Stockton, Heinsohn, etc...in the game, baby!!!

Screw Nash, he's South African-Canadian....who we got right now that's elite? only Brad Miller, but he's fallen off too...the rest are OK, decent like Korver, J-Wills, Harpring????

Why are the Europeans good players and not ours?

...and to my fellow Celtics fans stop cheering for Scalabrine, he's a scrub!

  • I think the jury is still out on Adam Morrison. He averaged almost 12 points per game off the bench for the Bobcats his rookie year. He's been injured this whole year, so you can't really judge anything off of that. Give him a starting role and 35 minutes per game and I think he'll produce very well for the Bobcats or some other team that gets him.

You had to know that Reddick was going to flop in the NBA. All he had at Duke was a three point jump shot. With the quality of athlete in the NBA, they can guard him better than anything he ever saw in college, which has basically made him non-productive.

If Tyler Hansbrough from UNC can develop a consistent 18-20 foot jump shot, I think he will be a good NBA player. Maybe not superstar like he is at Carolina, but will be a good team player and you can't deny his passion and work ethic.

Kevin Love from UCLA also has some serious potential. I think he's going to need to develop a mid-range jump shot as well because he will be a little undersized to consistently play the post in the NBA.

how about david lee? he is a very good rebounder and hustles his ass off and brings some energy to a team that is a disgrace to new york, basketball, and sports.

Hinrich, Murphy, Kaman are average-slightly good, but they're no All-stars or elites
Jr. Dunleavy on the other hand, I'm beginning to like his game. A lot.
Even though I'm a Celtics fan, I've always had some cheerful feelings towards The Pacers and The Jazz.
Hopefully, Mike Jr. will become a major All-star soon. Had to leave his daddy's team to get minutes. Weird.

They are statistically better than anyone previously mentioned. And Dunleavy Jr never played for his father.

Mike Miller has had some solid seasons and Wally Szczerbiak has made an allstar team.

That's what I'm here for. When the 76ers beat the Grizzlies this week, the announcers were saying that Memphis was actively shopping Miller.

Wally is a Spaniard so that makes him European.
And all he did for the C's was being trade for Ray Allen
    Miller plays for Memphis.
but again, I'm talking Elite Superstar players
Dirk, Nash, Pasol, Manu...these are elite superstars in the game. But non-American.

Wally'd dad was playing ball in Spain when he was born and had his family living with him. I don't think that makes him Spanish. After his dad retired from playing overseas, he moved his family back to home in Long Island.

What does it matter if a player is white? Black American players aren't good enough for you? Yes, there is something wrong with that sort of "wishful thinking" - it's flat-out racism.

what about kirk hinrich? or what about troy murphy or mike dunleavy? or chris kaman.

i personally think kaman is having an all-star caliber season and i actually did think he was going to be elected to the all star team. he just gets overlooked because the clips are so bad.

also, if keith van horn comes back out of retirement to help the mavs and nets finish the kidd trade...theres one classy w.m.a for you.

So Larry Bird is a racist when he said
he'd like to see more white superstar player in the NBA during a 2004 interview? Click Here

Did I ever said that black American players aren't good to me?
No, all I said why aren't there any superstar white American in NBA anymore.

In fact, black players are too good, that's why Hinrich, Dunleavy Jr, Kaman are all overlooked
