Aren't Russian athletes the coolest and cutest athletes at the moment right now? I think so!

The best player in the NBA is Russian! He led his Russian team to become 2007 EuroBasket champions where he was also named MVP after beating Gasol's Spaniard team. Plus, he also have the most coolest wife ever! ;) Sorry, Team USA but I'll be rooting for Kirilenko and the Russian national basketball team in Beijing.

The best and hottest tennis player is from Russia as well. So far she's won 3 grand slam, Wimbledon champ in '04, US champ in '06, and Aussie champ in '08. Just needs the French open to complete the sweep. maybe next year.
Sharapova was taken out by another Russian in the French Open, Dinara Safina.
Here's another up and coming Russian tennis star she's not related to Andrei. And who can forgot the original tennis sensation Anna Kournikova

The NHL has a lot of the including two that are popular even to non-hockey fans like myself. Ovechkin and Malkin. Both are top noms for the NHL MVP's.

They're also amazing chess players well like Boris Spassky who lost to American legend Bobby Fischer. Just look at the list of the World Chess Champions, many of them are Soviets/Russians.

I can't forgot about Ivan Drago, the fictional Soviet boxer in Rocky IV who killed Apollo Creed. How cool was that?

Anyways, show your love for Russia and its cool and cute athletes here.
Feel free to add more Russians I missed out on. :)

His wife allows him to sleep with one other woman per year.
Therefore, he's the best. He doesn't need to take the Kobe route like Kobe did in Denver of '04.

Today the Euro 08 starts. Some people say the Russian soccer team might get very far. They have the youngest team (yes, some of them are quite cute), and players as Andrei Arshavin, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Konstantin Zyrianov are strong.

But do Americans even care about soccer?

And they have Guus Hiddink, the best international coach going around.
