What are your thoughts on this beverage, I enjoy the spicy hot variety, I believe they make a a low sodium version but no one usually has it. The sodium amount is my only issue.

okay....I am not a fan of V8. Veggies should be crunched...not sipped.

  • Its an unusual beverage because its so salty so I like for its uniqueness, plus bloody mary's are good.

I get the low sodium version, too. I think it's getting a little easier to find, at least around here. I like to heat it up and eat it in place of tomato soup, which I think is too sweet. I used to eat it w/ grilled cheese all the time when I was pregnant.

I like V8 V Fusion, but not the V8 that just has vegetables. The V Fusion tastes really good and its one serving of fruit and one serving of vegetable in every glass.

I loves me some V8. My entire life I stayed away, but discovered it this year.

Now I buy a case every month or so From Costco.

I've tried low sodium and it is fine. I've just returned from our latest shopping trip and will have a cold one in the morning. Yum!

what gives you the right to decide how veggies 'should be' consumed?

    lol, I'm just kidding.

V8 is alright, I like the spicy kind, but I wouldn't go out of my way to drink it.

I love the spicy kind. I don't use a lot of salt on a daily basis, so it's not an issue with me when I want a V8.

My son loves the Frusions--it's not as good as fresh, but it's better than a Yoo-Hoo or a Bug Juice. He will not drink the regular (spicy or not). :)
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

  • I've always wanted to try V8. I'm not sure if I would love it, or totally gag.

Maybe I will investigate. I don't get enough veggies in my diet because I only like fresh veggies, and since my husband doesn't eat veggies, I can't keep tons around because they just rot before I get to them.

Veggies in a can, not exactly fresh, but.. I'm trying to talk myself into V8 tasting like my favorite organic roasted red pepper and tomato soup.. I just don't know about a tomato based veggie drink, cold?

If you like spicy things, try the spicy. It tastes kind of like a Bloody Mary, without the vodka. :) Just make sure to drink it VERY cold, and shake the hell out of it. I might just have myself one right now...

  • Damn I thought we were going to talk FAST CAR engines :( ...

well I hate it as a drink and find its only good in making soups and chili... I would prefer to have a pure tomato juice Bloody, but what I really prefer is Bailey's in my coffee in the morning... hehehe

I like the spicy one! I prefer the low sodium one because it's amazing how much sodium one serving of V8 has!!

    Either way, I like it!

i drink the low sodium V8 juice.
i used to not like this type of drink.
when i drove trucks cross country the lack of fresh produce became an issue,
therefore i made myself stock up on V8 juice by the gallons and i began to enjoy this beverage.
inturn this kept me properly nouished the way i like to be.
i am absolutely addicted to fruit/vegetables.
