Finally saw the film tonight. The Coen brothers are masters of tension and mood building. Excellent performances and photography. A couple things at the end though I think went over my head, why does Su'gar get into a car accident at the end and why was the final scene so abrubtly closed? Figured I hear the thoughts on this from some pearl jam fans.

when i saw no country... everyone in the cinema said 'what the fuck' when it ended. im not quite sure what happened but i get the feeling (though i could be mistaken) that tommy lee jones' character was reminiscing or delsuion or something. i don't know. might have to go read the book. did you notice his wife call him anton at the end?
    hear my name

great film. highly deserving of the oscars that it won. anton chigurh is one of the greatest villans (if not THE greatest) in the history of cinema.

I saw it the other day, and I really liked it. I was a bit confused though (like everyone), so I need to see it again.

Let me tell ya, that movie and There Will Be Blood definitely deserved the respect they received. Great movies.

I know what you mean. I think There Will Be Blood was a bit better though... it had a bit more depth to it. But it was basically a character study, so that makes sense.
