Mr. Rogers a Navy Seal?

The other day I was reading an email that said
Fred Rogers used to be a Navy Seal yrs ago.
Specializing in hand to hand combat therefore making him a small weapons expert.
Knife fighting and the like.
It said Mr. Rogers has something like 20 some confirmed kills.
Late in his Seal career he voewed to never harm another living soul.
And so he set out to create the television program we all know as Mr. Rogers Neighborhood or whatever the fuckin things called.
Is this stuff real or what?
I can actually see it being so.
He's the type, mild mannered, quiet, fragile looking.
The fucker'd have your throat slit in about 2 seconds probably.

    i heard this a few years ago & looked around online, found it to be a myth if i recall - but maybe the gov't is just hiding it.

    ive never heard about that. i do know he had a music degree and wrote over 200 songs. he was a great man.

    it was so well done it seemed it could be very real.
    it was about Lee Marvin, Fred Rogers, and Capt'n Kangaroo all being

    mentions nothing that i can see, other than he was taught how to fly by his black older brother. closest thing to a navy seal on the page.

    Well my brother is a marine and told me once that he saw mr. rogers in a bar in San Diego and he had tattoos and shit..

    yeah that's what the articale said.
    it said Roger's was fulla tattoos and that's why on his tv program
    he always wore long sleeve shirts/sweaters.
    edit: oh and San Diego is home to huge Naval stations

    Yes I know (I'm in the Navy ;) ) He was stationed at MCAS Mirimar at the time in San Diego...but when he drinks, he likes to tell stories :D

    I'd always heard growing up he was a Vietnam Sniper with 20 some confirmed kills. Even if it isn't true, i've believed it so long it's kind hard not to.
