DC Locals !!! Where Can We Have The DC Pre - Party?

DC locals , we need your help.. lets come up with 4-5 possible places that we could possibly have the DC meetup. I havent already seen a thread that is discussing this so lets put our heads together and come up with a few possible places to have this shindig.. Even if it means not having a fundraiser and just have it be a bunch of EV fans hanging out and shooting the shit....Thats all I care about really..Fundraising is GREAT !!! But Lets just have fun!!!!! So shoot out some ideas!!

It's about 4 block north of the Warner, I'm sure some locals may be able to point out some better places though.

I have been comming back to the computer on a very busy day here.
Sure dont even entertain me with a respone, your bumping threads looking for a fan meetup, but I guess its all selective when it comes to which pj fans.
We should have a big yearbook with fan ratings next to our names.
Than we would know who is allowed to show up where, and sit where at shows.

Lovely! Don't forget the after show party at Golden Dragon or whatever the name of the place is in Dupont on Connecticut and Florida that some tourists think is just a Chinese restaurant without any windows.

On a more serious note, a lot of people have mentioned Cap City. It is a decent spot if you are mostly interested in drinking. The food is ok, but nothing to write home about.

For anyone looking for something else, I like the Elephant and Castle. Some friends give me a hard time about it because it is a chain, but it has nice outdoor seating and it might be the only bar in DC with Fullers on tap (they have London Pride, ESB, and the porter). It is on 12th and Penn, just a block from Warner. If you are up for a bit more of a walk, Rocket Bar is my favorite bar in the district. It is across the street from the Verizon Center and a 10-15 minute walk to Warner. No food there, just a lot of beer, pool tables, skeeball, table shuffleboard, darts, and a lot of open space to roam around. Not sure if it was the staff or customers on the jukebox, but there was a lot of PJ played at Rocket before the show last month.

the authentic Moroccan food restaurant where you get to eat with your hands, and watch a real live belly dancer.

The Rock and Roll Hotel ...

which does techincaly have food, and is definately NOT a hotel.
Anyone who has never been there, the place is a plush hole in the wall.
Think bar slut chic.
Would be pretty cool though.
You could get a back room rented out too.

There is a pretty cool Tequila bar in Adams-Morgan that has mad crazy tequila, and pool tables.

Have to call a friend to get the name, can't remember.
No food though.

Thats all my thoughts, presently.
Except for RFD again, across from the Verizon center.

Good idea. Definitely be a good way to experience a part of DC that most visitors don't get to see. If anyone goes, make sure to leave early for the show - cabs around H St NE aren't the easiest to find so you may have to call one or hike to Union Station to get the metro.
