    It was just starting up when I was grocery shopping tonight around 8:30. Its getting going now. Kids and teachers are hoping for a snow day tomorrow.

    I'm dreading the morning

    Everything is covered with a sheet of ice !

    I did use my head when I got home and propped my windshield wipers up

    Have to go through the garage the steps are covered...of course I have no salt

    it wasn't a blizzard but we got 2 inches. It was snow, then freezing rain, and then I think it went to regular rain. Blech

    it was two inches of snow that warranted 20 minutes of coverage on the news, which apparently forgot it snows in the northeast this time of year..

    well it is an event considering I think it was last Wednesday it was 60 something degrees. With all the global warming, people forget it's winter.

    You know what happened yesterday, it was so windy my hat blew off my head, on my way home from work, and some guy ran in the street and got it for me! And he wasn't too crazy looking! Can you believe that? That was pretty neat

    what news do you watch? It wasn't that bad on Channel 4

    I know, in NY I thought that was amazing somebody did that. And he even apologized for stepping on it (so it wouldn't blow away)! I couldn't believe it.

    I was watching the 10:00 news on channel 5. i figured they'd have a breaking news story about the snow..

    I think it's freezing rain outside now! Wow that's crazy. And did you see when it snowed for like 5 minutes on Sunday? Then the sun came out!

    I went into foot locker to buy some shoes it's looks ok. I come out it's snowing on me but three blocks ahead it's clear. Bizarre weather!

    What does a blizzard look like? is it really like snow blowing straight at you? what happens with the windows? (like the big store windows, when they have to use the snow plow to clear the streets?? I always wondered...I have never been through a snow storm, so I am just curious. can you still see through the big windows??

    it was 80 degrees in Southern Cal today. but the weather report is indicating that it should be cooling down again to the 60's (upper) Even to me this is odd weather.

    In a blizzard snow is coming at you like Louis Anderson approaching a Chinese Buffet, fast, furious, and from all angles. You can see through the windows as the snow does not form on them.

    It's really heavy snowflakes and it can be blowing around or in your face. To me a blizzard is like really have snow, like a foot of snow or something like that.
    usually store windows have awnings so they don't get covered, but it can get on the window panes sometimes
    it looks very pretty when you're inside but if you have to schlep to work in it, it's a slushy mess.

    I'll trade your 80 degrees for our freezing rain :)

    my only experience with blizzards are movies and the Little House on the Prairie. you know how Pa had to go through a blizzard, and then Mr. Edwards saves Christmas??? yeah.

    maybe out on Long Island or upstate it does. In the city, it doesn't really. I mean it settles on people's windowpanes a little bit maybe.
