Anyone here use food/spice/natural remedies? I've sworn by Airborne for several years now. It's basically concentrated Vitamins C & B and Echinacea. In my experience, when taken immediately after the first sign of a cold, it shortens or prevents the cold entirely. Good stuff!

an old roommate of mine from university used to swear by this cold remedy:

    1 can tomato soup
As much Tobasco sauce as your poor tongue can handle.
1 entire sleeve of soda crakers, crushed.

    :p

me? i stick to Vitamin C and Echinacea.

  • Anyone ever heard of the apple cider vinegar remedy? I was searching for some remedies for joint pain and found this website.

I'm wondering if anyone here has had any personal experience with apple cider vinegar and it's many claims. I've been having some joint pain and my doctor seems hellbent on carpal tunnel surgery. I'm going to give this a try first and see if it works.
  • Bump-Seriously with all the naturalists on here no one has tried the Apple Cider Vinegar remedy. It has been claimed to clear up Acne, curb hunger and reduce arthritis and joint pain. I've bought some last night and took the suggested serving. Anyone else have any long term results to share?

    Thanks

I tried it, but I just couldn't handle downing vinegar! But it did wonders for my eczema when I put it in the bath water.

Yes, but unfortunately, many things work aginst you and end up surpressing your immune system, such as stress, lack of sleep, other health issues, air/water pollution, etc. Boosting your immunity is what this is about.

Does that say anything specifically about Airborne? I didn;t see any reference to it. Airborne contains stuff that people have taken to ward off /curb colds for centuries. I understand the concept of a placebo effect, but I don't think it applies here.
