This pisses me off that 2 Anaheim Ducks decide to take half a season off, and force Burke to make stupid trades like Andy McDonald for Doug Weight, just to make cap room for players who shoulda decided along time ago whether they were playing hockey this year or not.

yeah. i said it.
He will be well-rested for the play-offs!
It will probably take him a while to get his timing and conditioning back to where it needs to be .......but there’s enough time before the playoffs start for him.
i'm happy. only because selanne is my favourite player (ever), and i selfishly didn't want him to retire. good luck all you west coast teams now.
heh, stupid foxtrax. thankfully i never had to really deal with that crap.
just picked up selanne in one of my fantasy leagues. go me~!

The key to watching hockey is to not watch the puck but to watch the guy who has it and to know where it is going. The actual puck itself doesn't matter -- it doesn't do anything spectacular.

woot!!!
I believe they used to have a similar clause when a player held-out of their contract past a certain date
EDIT: oh, and I hate that fucking franchise, so fuck them, and fuck Selanne

yeah they already said theyre going to try to put it into THIS CBA for next season, a drop dead date, where if a player doesnt decide top play by a certain day they cant play
work = work + 1;
sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
else if (work >= 0) {
reality.equals(false);
work = work +1;
}system("pause");
return 0;}
Yawn.
i may have to agree with this.
you wanna watch some boring hockey ?
take a trip down to St. Paul
or maybe that's the kind of hockey you like, in which case that explains alot

I have been to many Wild games and I almost agree, but there is no way in hell that the Wild are worse to watch than the Wings. Gaborik is the most exciting player in the NHL despite Jacques Lemaire.
I actually watched the Wings and Sens this year despite my policy of never watching another Wings game. The Wings didn't change my mind on how painful it is to watch them play. They suck the flow right out of the game and play for powerplays -- it's horrible hockey. I will again continue to avoid watching them at all costs. It killed me to see Steve Yzerman there too. He was one of my favourite players in the NHL until Bowman showed up in Detroit and made him a boring "winner". Coaches like Bowman and Lemaire who stifle the stars at the expense of entertainment should be outlawed.
