    Why can't I get an avatar I want? I had a pic of myself, deleted it, and tried to replace it with a jpg that fits into the size criteria. It won't take and my pic keeps coming up. Probably will regret asking this, but am I just dumb?

    I was only able to find the pit by googling 'pearl jam message pit' to get a direct link to the old pit. I got here via link posted in one of the threads posted in the old pit. I still can't figure out how to get to the new pit via the new website....

    Go to www.pearljam.com

    Log in with your username and password

    Click on Settings

    At the left of the page there is a box saying Edit My Profile, Member Stats and Recent posts

    Click on whatever is under Recent Posts

    That's how I got in.

    hmm, the box has "Edit my profile" and "member stats", but no "recent posts".... but I'm sure it'll fix itself at some point...

    I'm also having trouble changing my avatar from the default.... I have a picture that is just under 100x100 and less than 30kb, but each time I try to upload it, nothing happens....

    Yep I cant change mine either after 10 attempts.

    You can just sign in with your original Pit name and password.

    Post counts? I think Sea/Kat are still tranferring old threads over to this new forum.

    I like the new format and website.

    It also probably means easier ticket sales, quicker transactions, etc.

    It flat out is more aesthetically (sp) pleasing.

    Give it some time.

    I remember when we made the switch from the old boards, people flipped out too, but eventually all was good.
