it IS a beautiful name!
i know of a fellow pj boardie here who named her daughter chloe.....good ole mother love bone and 'chloe dancer' i am sure ws inspirational.
i love the names sofia and isabella. i may name a future dog sofia, but doubtful on isabella.i used to have quite the list of kiddie names....but long-gone, and most long forgotten. i find i choose different names for pets than people, altho some cross over.
and chloe is a beautiful dog too, it suits her perfectly. and i know this thread is about children's names - and i know discussing my pets in it would piss dunkman right off- but too bad! they are still great names!
i've had 3 other dogs and one cat all of my own before my present pets:
charlie/chuck - the cat
two dogs named sinead
one dog named phoebe - i LOVE that name, might need to reuse, haha.
i've had a bunch of fish - all named - too many to mention, but i especially liked the name gabriel.Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -

ahem.... thread integrity Miss 19000oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -
Jeremy1012 wrote:Yeah, I hate that alliteration in names doesn't really work. I love the name Dylan but if I called a son that, it would sound daft with my surname :(
It would be worse if your surname was MacmillanI came, I saw, I concurred.....0 -

Of course the absolute worst is if I had a child and called him David. Or Jim
Someone called me Jim once. I had to explain in a cool, polite but firm voice that if they did it again, they'd spend the rest of their life speaking with a voicebox."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 -

I was going to name my son Ty, it seemed really cool...but what's the use in a cool name if you have a square surname? a much more mainstream choice, Matthew, was deemed more suitableI came, I saw, I concurred.....0 -
i dont plan on having any childrens any time soon, but i would love to have a carla and a jed (after jed ortmeyer for my fellow rangers fans)MSG II 6/25/080

I suggested Fofannon for the 3rd girl, but it didn't fly
yeah, i kinda figured that's where you got the idea from. i bet it's a big surprise to you that it's the same place my wife and i got the idea.
fofannon.....lol, that's funny."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

My first baby is due at the end of December and I've always "thought" it's a boy, I've loved Evan from day one and it's not very common here in Glasgow plus his dad likes it, apparently an ultimate fighter is called that
(we don't agree on many others and he vetoed Axl) if it's a girl, I will refer back to this thread as I've read some lovely names

So just don't think he'll be entirely unique
I have a dilemma. I have so many ridiculous names I want to call my kids but I'd also like them to have at least one gaelic middle name or something. Will it border or child abuse if I give my firstborn child several middle names of either classic literary or gaelic origin?"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 -

Jeremy1012 wrote:Well I have an ever-growing list of awesome names so I either need to have loads of kids to take them or a few kids with 4 or 5 middle names
4 or five, yep, that will be abusive.....so, you only have one option, shorten the name list to 8 or 10 and have 4 or 5 kids and devide the names among them....;)i'm not happy yet.....0 -
