It happens here on 26th October at 02:00.

Does it happen in any other country?

Does anyone get confused by it?

I do :o

Yeah but that means my daughter will be up at 5:30 AM instead of 6:30, ugh.

It's not that. I enjoy the extra hour in bed normally but this year it's my friend's hen night and I've arranged the mini bus to pick us up at 02:30 in the morning... now, is that 02:30 BST or GMT?! What if the driver doesn't put his clock back?! what if we don't put our clocks back?! What if the club goes on til 02:00, puts it's clocks back to 01:00 and continues to 02:00 again?!

I called the mini bus company and they said they'd put a note on the account that clocks change and that we need picking up at 01:30. So does that mean we see 01:00 twice?! What if the club does go on another hour and we miss it?! What if he doesn't put his clock back and picks us up at 02:30?!

    *meltdown*

Wow, my head hurts! I will now stay home on fear of timing issues!

BTW can you re-write this with a coventry accent? I find that thread fascinating.

Clocks go back in NA on Nov 2nd.
And as a carry over from the English language use derailment from yesterday, I found 'hen night' quite funny :p

We must stop it! Who do I speak to, Social Services? The Cov Cathedral chaplain? Father Christmas?

Arrgh it's this O sound and U sound.. they all sound the same to me. Sarah's kids say 'Mom' and she agrees that it has an 'O' sound. But it's a 'U' in the middle... yawn, so if a 'U' sounds like an 'O', what does an 'O' sound like? Other words with a 'U' sound like a clipped 'U', like 'much'...

You'll just say 'An O sounds like an 'O', idiot' ;)

To be fair, it's probably because i'm originally from Nuneaton which has a slightly different accent to Coventry... I'm a Midlands hybrid! :D

    In Nueaton we'd say:

Vienna is a world famous song that spent 8.3 light years at Number 1 sung by Ultravox... its chorus catchier than malaria... this off-grid existence doesnt suit you.. you miss out on 80's electropop hits.!!

I'm not so bad now, it's just the whole arranging the mini bus thing completely baffled me. Worrying about the hen night being a success is stressful enough without this clock change milarky!
