John Maine is going to have alot of wins simply for the fact he is pitching in the #4 spot. Dont underestimate the numbers he will put up.

I agree...I have him on the fantasy squad, I just think that MLB writers take that into consideration when voting for award winners...I say he wins at least 16 again this year...

W got booed last night..it was funny

it wasnt funny, it was disgraceful. And dont start with Bush sucks, Bush lied. The fact is that last night was a symbolic occasion and wasnt about G W but was about the President throwing out the first ptich of the baseball season. It was in poor taste. The same way Democrats understand you dont boo the president when he is entering the room to give the state of the union. When the Pres is involved in a symbolic event that is not about him or his policies, booing is disrectful to the office not the person.

I laughed and thought it was funny...people don't like him and many do not feel that he is "their" president...Maybe management should have rethought the idea of having him toss out the old pitch, he gets booed everywhere he goes but TV never shows that. I think it is great that they could not manipulate the spontaneous crow noise...he is a douche but can throw the bean around pretty good.

Like it or not he is your president and obviously you missed my point.

Oh and please point out one other instance he was boo-ed on TV.

You can never prove that someone else would have handled everything differently.

But it isnt the point, the point is last night wasnt about GW it was a symbolic event that has occured every year for the last 75 or whatever years. sometimes it is wrong to booo, refer back to my State of the Union example.

For starters someone else would have finished the job in and around Tora Bora, instead of letting the 6'8 starting center for the Taliban basketball team walk away. If they would have gotten him in '03, the gig was up.Tough to sell a BS war without an evil villian. One thing I will say about this administration is everyone thinks they are dumb, that is the con, they know what they are doing. Military Contracts(no bid) for decades.

I am not trying to argue politics, all I am saying it is in bad taste to boothe President when he is throwing out the first pitch. Sometimes the office takes precedent over the man and his policies.

You can have all your individual awards... the Tigers will still win the Series.

and BTW, I actually agree with you on Maine - he's going to surprise a lot of people this year.

Its all good, I am shocked sometimes that anyone can get behind someone who is looking after maybe 3-5% of the population. I myself am not poor by any means, but feel many have been left out in the cold. Lots of missed chances to get things right. He made his bed....

Red Sox beat the Mariners in the ALDS, the Tigers in the ALCS, and sweep whatever garbage team the national league team throws at them, for the first back to back world series titles since the Yankees of 1998-2000 and cementing their status as the best team in baseball this century(so far). Pearl Jam will debut 3 new songs most likely revealed in NYC or Mansfield.
    32 shows and counting...
