Lost my goddamn phone!

I went to the theatre last night to watch comedian Dylan Moran (very very funny), I know I had my phone when I was sat down because I was taunting a few good friends that I was watching Dylan and they weren't (yes, I know it's probably karma biting me on the ass).

I then left the theatre pulling my jumper out of my PJ tote bag... my phone was on top and must have dropped to the floor. I got home and discovered my phone wasn't in my bag and I hadn't dropped it in Dave's car.

Now, I can cope with losing my phone. I can cope with being considered a doofus for dropping it... what I can't cope with is what happened after I discovered it was gone.

I called my phone and it rang. I called it regularly until about half 12 last night... it just rang - a good sign as phones that are stolen tend to be turned off and sim card taken out - I figured it was lying on the floor in the theatre so I text it and said 'if found please hand in' or words to that effect. I called it at about half 8 this morning and it had been turned off - the battery was full.
I phoned the theatre to see if it had been handed in or if they could see it, the answer to both questions.....?

'No'.

I explained to the guy that I spoke to that it had been turned off this morning etc and he said that only the stage hands had been in at half 7 to clean and set up for the day... so, one of them must've had it. Apparently he asked them all if they'd seen it.... OF COURSE THEY SAID NO!!!!!:mad:

It's just frustrating because it was obviously picked up and turned off this morning by someone who was in the building when I called but I can't prove a thing :(

Myself and Dave are sorting out a new phone (I swear that guy's my knight in shining armour and I can't thank him enough :o) and I've had my sim blocked. O2 (my network) are sending me a new sim with my old number which should arrive in 3-5 days and they've offered me a discount on a new handset (I've been loyal to them for years). Until then I have a pooey old phone to contact Dave and family on... I'm not moaning, at least it's a phone. I wouldnt mind but this will be the second time i've had to get a new phone this year, the one that I lost last night was a replacement for one that was stolen in February!

So anyone who wants to contact me, hold fire 'til the weekend. I should be sorted by then.

I have the worst luck with mobile phones...

Sorry about this, I just had to rant :o
