  • oh no no no... you're not getting it. Once you're finished babysitting and hand them back to mommy, it's not your problem to deal with :) and it's certainly not mine :) we don't HAVE to worry about the consequences of our lies to kids... it's fantastic.

ah... so we hand over kids and scarper? got you... ;)

I'm gonna tell them the boogieman's real and lying in wait under their bed... but only lives there when Mummy's home....

And if it all get too much for you, you can always do what I do and turn the music up REALLY LOUD and leave em to get on with it...and then clear up the mess afterwards :D

Seriously Sian...thank you...you know exactly what this means to me ;)

Sian... tell urban hippie to bring her kids down here. I have a 13 1/2 year old so the two older kids can babysit the 3 younger ones (my daughter loves lil' ones). I've got the five cats to distract them and there are loads in the garden. I also have a nice big shed and a wendy house, so if things get too much, plenty of room to put the kids in! And if the 14 year old is a nice looking boy... all the better for my daughter (in an innocent way of course!!!!!)!

    There. Sorted.

Damnit! why didn't you say something earlier Rita?! I could've come to the meet! ;)

nah, it's cool, i'm kinda looking forward to it in a weird way...

fancy giving the cats away though? You can help me with my "make Sian a scary spinster/witch" campaign ;)

It's not too late to make it down here!!!

Nope.. you can't have the cats. I also have to work on my image. And since I'm way older than you, I am further down the path in the make Rita a scary witch/spinster. I can even say, I have almost mastered the art of this. It must be Jet, my big black cat that did the trick.

You're gonna have fun. Not sure about your kitty when he/she's gonna have loads of lil' hands pulling at the fur/tail/ears... :)

I dunno if anyone's ever pointed out that you're failing miserably at your aim to be a scary spinster :o you're married with a kid :p

Why yes, yes we are

I always knew it but this weekend confirmed it, you're extreamely lucky, you have 4 amazing children Sarah :)

Thanks to everyone who gave me sensible advice, it all got put into practice and, as Sarah said, the kids were happy with that. We both kept our cool, had stupid amounts of help off the older two children (They were bribed with a hockey game and my gosh did they earn it!) and generally had fun playing house... all good :)

For those who are interested and have me as a friend, there are photos uploaded into an album on my facebook profile.

EDIT: In case any of you were wondering, Dave wasn't a hinderance at all, He was massive help and I can't thank him enough :)
