    As much as I can't stand the whole hold-out and threatening posturing crap that NFL players do, part of me can't blame them.

    They sign a deal with a team, and they are expected to hold up their end of the bargain from start to finish, but a team can renig (sp?) on their end and cut them basically at any time.

    I certainly don't admire him for trying to renegotiate his contract, but he will get at least a few more million over the life of the contract and I can't say I'd do it differently.

    No other MLB can do what he does in terms of chasing the ball and covering the short passing game, but there are MUCH better MLBs stuffing the run, shedding blocks, and rushing the QB. He isn't even an average linebacker in these areas. If they had a SAM linebacker who was better than Hillenmeyer they'd have the best linebacking corps in the league.

    Why would they give an aging linbacker coming off of back and neck problems more money...........He is not the player he used to be.............if he plays out the rest of his current contract he'll be almost ready to retire..........
