Lot of youngsters on here. Well, I just hit the big 40. I remember the day I first heard Pearl Jam. It was the first week back at college in '91 (September or late August??) and my local radio station (WMMR in Philly) played "Alive". I was so fed up with all the 80's hair bands at that time and when I heard that song on the radio, it just about floored me. I had no idea that I was in for a great era of music, but I did go out and buy "Ten" later that week. Saw them later that year and plan on seeing them until the bitter end!
    Rock on!

Agreed! Glad to see there's some much older PJ fans in here. Sometimes I feel like I'm the oldest (my age was revealed in the above post).
    Rock on!

I heard 10 for the 1st time fall '91 freshmen year at university. Lost my mind, and never looked back. I was lucky enough to be at the age to truly appreciate what music and PJ would mean to the rest of my life. Not that anyone else who is younger would not know. But for me I would not have appreciated PJ, as much if it would have happened at any other time in my life.
