My mom died 15 years ago today.

I can't believe how long it has been.

My two year old and i will go to the cemetery today and plant some flowers for the grandparents he never knew.

He basically has none... It's kind of (very) sad.

  • That's very sad!
My grandmother died 15 years ago in August & I miss her every day.

    Sorry you're sad.

  • I'm sorry :(

All you can do is tell your son how much his grandparents would've loved him :) I grew up not knowing my Dad's mum but from the reassurance my parents gave me, I love her, I know that I'm just like her, that she'd have been proud of me and that (in my Dad's words) she'd have "sorted me out when I was a teenager!" :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Wow, Anna, that totally sucks. I'm sorry. These kinds of anniversaries hit me the same way... but I don't have a kid to explain them to. And I have no idea what it's like to lose a parent, much less both of them. :(
