  • The soundtrack is the #1 album right now too. According to Rolling Stone, the last FOX soundtrack to his #1 was 'Titanic'.

Sadly I haven't heard any of the music from the movie, or at least I don't think I have.

  • dont tell me it's this year's Little Miss Sunshine. No. 1, I hate that whole "This year's ... " And No. 2, Little Miss Sunshine sucked. Alan Arkin was great, but when his character died, the movie died with him.

    Agreed.

    Juno--though I don't adore it--was far better than Sunshine.

The soundtrack for this looks awesome..As does the film itself.
It features Kimya Dawson..and she also makes a cameo apperance in the film itself.
She's an amazing artist and her music is great... simple and beautiful...I'd go and see the movie for the soundtrack alone..

Don't think they ever said it was 'amazing.' said it was the #1 soundtrack in america. which it was.

Movie and soundtrack, both great. I saw all 5 oscar nominated films yesterday and JUNO was by far my favorite.

I'm never as good as when you're there.........
  • It definitely had the same bittersweet vibe as Little Miss Sunshine. I really enjoyed it though, some very funny bits.
  • this movie is one of my favorites, i loved it.
i loved michael cera, hes adorable.
  • I saw it today. Very charming little film. Loved it.

However the screenplay did suffer from indie film-itis. It was very writerly and my frequent thought was 'Do 16 year olds really speak like that?' It was Dawson's Creek all over again. Brilliant, but pretentious. ;)

It's definitely a good film but not as good as a lot of people seem to be making out. It's got the typical indie hype, but I don't think many people will recall it for their fav films list in say 5-10 years. it's two major downfalls are the overwriting (not EVERY line out of Juno's mouth needs to be a witty one liner!) and spreading itself too thinly (Michael Cera's and the adoptive parents are in surprisingly few scenes). Also the ending was a little fucked up.

I really liked Juno. It is pretty comparable to Little Miss Sunshine. I don't think it's as good as LMS, but still a good flick.
