I'm sure Yankee brass are already overreacting - like they did when they got annoyed that Papi was calling his shot at the home run derby.- Busted down the pretext

i hate the yankee's
not dislike. hate :cool:0 -
You can blame this on the redsox network..i mean ESPN. When they are on your tv everyday the casual fan will vote for them. I will never vote for a red sox or yankee player for this reason.0

So that's where ALL that extra money comes from to pay the Sox players. Thanks for the info, now let's go Sox.

ESPN overreacts to everything when it comes to sports. the Red Sox have the biggest fanbase of any team in the country. so what? are you gonna blame the media for this? how bout fans and sports broadcasters like teams that win! the Yankees were loved 96-2001, why? cause they won!
I hate it because i like baseball. you get over yourself thinking the world revolves around boston. I and a lot of my friends would love to see the rays or diamondbacks or anybody besides the same ol' everytime. You like it because you live in boston. I'm not blaming you, i blame espn and fox. i just would like some variety without shelling out the bucks for extra innings.0 -

They did that with the BULLS and anybody else whose been champions or winners for any given period of time. It gathers ratings for them, the Sox are big drawers of fans on the road, As are the Yankees.

The reason the Sox have so much support is because most casual fans are sheep. They cheer for whomever is winning. They are a great team right now and have some awsome players. While they maybe one of the most popular teams atm, they are also one of the most hated, right up there with you know who. Remember when the 49ers were winning all those super bowls they had millions on fans, now... not so much.0
