another blown home run call. this time it was dustin pedroia. i want instant replay on home runs!

    no..im just saying he should have hit it better...Im joking....BUT....had he hit it more square....we wouldnt be talking about how the umpire couldnt tell if it was above the yellow line or not...it would have cleared the wall

    The worst part about this is that he's on my fantasy team, and I'm playing a die-hard Red-Sawx fan this weekend. Terrible!

    I dont care how many blown calls there are or have ever been in baseball. I DO NOT WANT REPLAY! That is one of the things I LOVE about it, is the human element, the tradition....The manager comes out and argues, the players are pissed, just the whole scene. I think it would take SO SO much away from the game if they did that. Why not just take away the umpire alltogether and use cameras for balls and strikes and plays at the bases as well. I am against it BIG TIME! imho....:)

    i am for replay on homerun calls & fair and foul calls, but that's it!

    if they do introduce it to the sport, i cannot see them ever using it for balls and strikes.

    I know they would never do the balls and strikes, I was just saying. I am still saying NO to foulballs and homeruns though. Like I said would totally ruin it for me. I can see it now, it will be like tennis. A ball will be hit down the line and everyone will way for that hi-pitch screetch like a foul on a serve. I just think they should leave it alone..

    foul balls????

    so you hit a ball in the corner...its called foul, but replay shows its fair.....what happens to the runner??? does he stay on 2nd where he was or do you give him third cause he had turned 2nd and headed there ?????


    replay isnt needed...it will ruin and slow down the game that they are trying to SPEED up as it is!!!!!

    The real solution to all of this is add 2 more umpires to the crew.....put both of them down the foul lines liek they do in the playoffs....they are responsible on those calls and those calls only

    Its coming for sure, way to many blown calls this year. They need to get these calls right, its a no brainer. Managers will still have plenty to argue about so you won't lose that. The only thing it will take away from the game is the wrong score imo.

    Its not a huge deal in the regualr season but in the playoffs it would mean everything. Remember that little bastard from New York who reached over the fence and grabbed that so called home run!

    no....what happened was that little bastard reached over and took what WAS NOT a home run and made it a home run by catching it....so replay wouldt do anything for that play,cause where do you put your runner after all that play stoppage???
