    By "sources of identity", you mean the source of our self identity? That is, culture, ethnicity, favorite band...etc?

    Is this basically a free-writing essay? Or do you need to stick to particular lessons taught in a certain textbook or lecture?

    You should never leave essays till the day before they're due.





    The night before they're due is the way to go. :)

    Or in my case, the day they stop even taking late admissions. :o

    well we just read The Narritive Life Of Frederick Douglass so we have stick somewhere along the lines of that.

    I once applied to a particular government agency that I won't mention right after I finished college.

    To get an interview, I first had to submit an essay on a topic concerning an aspect of that agency's role in society. I was given 1 hour.

    I was competing against people from all over the country. It was approved, and I was sent on an all-expense-paid trip to that agency's headquarters via jet plane.

    Alas, I did not pass the interview, but I was congratulated on my writing ability.

    In other words, it's in good hands if you want to let me give it a once over. Also, I like to brag.
