...is awesome. Any other fans out there? We're havin a tourney outside my place in the city before the Phils go up 3-0 on the Rays. ;) Just interested to see what kind of rules people played by - I think there's nothing better than using a chair for the strike zone and throwing an euphus that clunks the chair when the batter thinks it's a ball. Sweet.

I play at work all the time. Me and my buddy go out back in our parking lot and have a home run derby of sorts. If you can put the ball on the opposing roof, it's a home run. We went from using the authentic Wiffle Ball to the completely solid Wiffle Balls and those things FLY!

If you haven't done so, check out their online store, theres a lot of fun stuff on there. I buy in bulk from them all the time and they usually ship everything out the same day.

  • professional wiffle ball player here. ha. well, play in legit tourneys that are run by some folks and they tour around the country. it has gotten bigger and bigger every year and they are hitting more cities. the entry fee has gone up too over the years, but at least it makes the prize go up! top 4 get paid. and they have a 'world series' final at the end of the season for only the teams that won the previous tournaments

the rules are a little crazy: 2 swings and miss = out; if a ball hits the zone and you dont swing = out; 4 balls walk; 3 outs per team; pitcher plus two fielders max

the zone is this little square of plastic pipe with netting on the inside that sticks into the ground. they sell aluminum bats that you can use that sounds like a tiger woods drive if you make contact. they line the fields for singles, doubles, and every field has a fence for a hr

have been playing in these tourneys for about 10 years now, have made it to the series a few times, and have won money by placing in tournaments. this was the only year we have missed, i got married the day they came to town.

haha, yeah, it gets pretty serious

Sweet. Yeah, I checked out this site before. Holeless Wiffle balls are good for home run derby's, but I don't think it's not as fun as when throwing some nasty pitches.

Nice. Yeah, we're just looking to drink beer and play all day. Those rules are pretty much the same as ours. But for us it's an out if it hits the chair if you already have one strike on you.

you can really hit a rocket with those solid wiffle balls. only bummer is they get dented too easily.

but you can't beat the authentic wiffe ball. i throw a pretty nasty side arm rising pitch with it. can't touch it.

haha yeah well teams bring cases and cases of beer in coolers and take that approach. sign in is at 9am and people have beer in hand....and can last up until about sunset (which in the summer is at like 8pm)

this one team a few years back named themselves free beer. nothing better than seeing tons of people standing around a field after they heard an announcement "free beer on field 3"
