Gave my friends a present the other day, but they didn't like it :(

    HOW FUNNY! Earlier today I was telling Sam how much I dislike vegemite! :p

    I lived with a pair of Aussies and they got our group to try it. :eek: SOOOO not to my liking. :p When they moved back to Oz they left it for us (how thoughtful!) :p But the only one who would eat it was my Welshie friend...the rest of us (two English girls and another Californian) were just not that into it to say the least. ;)

    Does it really taste like yeast? Going to be sampling the stuff soon and I'm not really looking forward to it.

    Vegemite tastes quite strong and salty, but I think the colour really gets people, more than the taste.

    Apparently it tastes like Axle grease :D

    My friend thought in "Down Under" the line was "He just smiled and gave me a bit of Mike's sandwich"....oh, how we laughed at her... pointed, too!

    Pearljamjen...I had a dream the other night I was talking to Ed and he said that you were his really good friend and personal assistant.

    I thought it was a strange dream because I don't think we've met...

    Shhhh...that's cuz I AM his friend and assistant! That sounds like MY dream!! :D

    HAHA! How weird! I had a dream that I was watching Ed's solo show, and I had run into him the day before and he remembered me at the show. :p Also, my friend who doesn't like PJ was there, and Ed called him an idiot. :p

    Well we didn't meet but were both at Vancouver...and you are going to throw a pineapple at me next time we meet. ;) I'll tell Ed on you. :p

    i wasnt the one who didnt know what vegemite tastes like. twas some guy from the great state of massachusetts.;) :D of course i know what it tastes like, i was given it from birth. however, i no longer eat vegemite.

    It's not so much the colour hun as it is the taste. :p

    It taste salty, slightly bitter, similar to the taste of beef bouillon . Vegemite is beer brewer's yeast extract according to Wikipedia. No wonder Aussie's eat it! :rolleyes: :p

    I am not a picky eater...I'll try just about anything...but I just CANNOT eat vegemite. Zoso sent me some, and before I even opened the package I could smell it. I thought I'd be a trooper and give it a try...but I literally wanted to cry :( I tried giving some to my cat and she ran away (she normally eats anything). That is some bad bad tasting stuff.
    There's a light when my baby's in my arms :)
