I have a button phobia. No idea why. Buttons just creep me out so I stay far away from them. Of course everyone in my family thinks it's hilarious so they will chase me around with a button.
I never ever buy any clothes that have buttons on them and if my husband is wearing clothes with buttons, I won't go near him.

Confined spaces, heights, wheelchairs, anything that scuttles or drops unexpectedly.

My aunt, has an absolute phobia of cotton wool. Calls it wickies. It's a running joke around here, not when she's about obviously, but we're always saying "beware the wickies" :D
    NOPE!!!

:D Yeah, now that I think about it, my ex used to be frightened of it too!

Of course I used to torment him with the stuff, BUT I figured it was only fair because he had this great game  he used to like to play. He'd say, "Let's play phobic Matey" and then he'd hold a pillow over my face until I completely skitzed out. So I had no problem returning the favor occassionally with the cotton wool. Fair's fair! :p

It's weird though, how he'd run even to get away from it.

I'm glad you're friend got over it, a nurse with a fear of cotton wool wouldn't do at all! :D

I don't know. Something about them is just wrong to me.

I also have this fear of threads on stuff. Like a stray thread on something. Last night I took a shower and there was this thread stuck to the towel I picked up, I threw it in the hamper and got a new one!

Both fears are even stranger because I love to sew! I never ever put buttons on the clothes I make. And thread on the spool and while I'm sewing doesn't bother me, it's just that stray thread stuck where it shouldn't be that makes me feel all crazy.

no phobias for me, but for what I lack in phobias, my wife makes up for it so I have to deal with them regardless....

her big ones are bugs, snakes, and bad thunderstorms...
