a friend of mine has that same phobia of cotton wool...even talking about it would make her shiver!!
She got over it coz shes now a nurse!!!

:D Yeah, now that I think about it, my ex used to be frightened of it too!

Of course I used to torment him with the stuff, BUT I figured it was only fair because he had this great game  he used to like to play. He'd say, "Let's play phobic Matey" and then he'd hold a pillow over my face until I completely skitzed out. So I had no problem returning the favor occassionally with the cotton wool. Fair's fair! :p

It's weird though, how he'd run even to get away from it.

I'm glad you're friend got over it, a nurse with a fear of cotton wool wouldn't do at all! :D
    NOPE!!!

 youve got to be shitting me!!! I was watching a morning show this morning (imagine that  ) and they were commenting on someone who had a phobia of buttons...couldnt wear anything with buttons on it etc....why a button???
I don't know. Something about them is just wrong to me.

I also have this fear of threads on stuff. Like a stray thread on something. Last night I took a shower and there was this thread stuck to the towel I picked up, I threw it in the hamper and got a new one!

Both fears are even stranger because I love to sew! I never ever put buttons on the clothes I make. And thread on the spool and while I'm sewing doesn't bother me, it's just that stray thread stuck where it shouldn't be that makes me feel all crazy.

Needles, not receiving, getting accidently picked by one that is not properly disposed of, lately in the community I live kids have found improperly disposed of needles, and this is a safe community with a needle exchange program. Strange phobia I know.
