My Dad said then nicest thing to me

Background: My Dad is a lovely man and I love him to death, we always tell each other and we know that. But my Dad doesn't give out compliments too easily to me, I think it is because I am a guy and it might be a way of being 'soft' I don't know what it is.

I have been exploring different paths since I left school (5yrs ago), and in the last 18 months my life has cleared up a bit, I obtained a goal, and 3 months ago I stated studying to achieve that goal. To become a Primary school teacher. Now to say study took a back seat while I was at school is an understatement, and I have really started to put some effort in...

Anyway to the point, after one night of long study, Dad said to me, "Anthony, watching you study really warms my heart."


To get that sort of reaction out of him made me so happy that I was making him proud...

Just thought I would share quite a personal and emotional moment....
