    Does it hurt at all...?

    :D

    No it doesn't hurt ;)

As far as the shiny talk I'm a breast and butt guy

So I look there first regardless of shimmer

All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade...away

But it could be the icing on the cake.....??

Also I reckon you are not a face (eyes) guy?

I find myself attracted to the package as a whole. How about you?

I said shimmery powder, barely noticeable.
    Big difference.
    :)
And the arrogance comes from people that don't want to take said shiny person seriously. It is silly, really.

Its not a deal breaker and it doesnt take much to entice a man. Shiny dull colored whatever-a sexy woman is a sexy woman!

Yet a sexy woman usually isn't dull colored.
Even if she is a sexy librarian...there is something going on there.

We don't have to admit anything, we're telling it straight up :) we don't worry about shiny or matt. Stop telling us what we like already :p

    I think Trix is right.
Get the shiny thing just right and it can work a treat. Shiny hair for example... I don't know many men that aren't suckers for a girl with silky shiny hair.

since men associate everything to sex, perhaps seeing a woman glistening reminds us of how a woman looks after a good shagging - a little sweaty and glowing....:o :o:D

I actually studied this phenomenon in anthropology. At least one theory calls it the hunter's stare. Long, long ago, when men really hunted for a living, they would spend hours sitting and staring in the African plane waiting for animals. Shiny things are part of it, because they attract attention against the background of the savanna. Also, tracking movements is part of it as well. The stare, if I am remembering correctly, produces a change in brain waves in males. In other words, it is pleasurable. That is why they are able to sit for hours waiting for prey. This brain state is supposedly the reason why men will watch TV to relax. It produces the same brain state from staring. It is also supposedly the reason why men like to watch pornography.

On the anecdotal side, I watched this develop in my son. I will never forget the first time I took him on a carousel at two. He became transfixed by the mechanism that made the horse go up and down. He was frozen in place staring at the gears.

I've noticed pretty much all babies do that staring thing. TV stresses out women? I never knew.

You seem to say that jokingly but I know that's the reason behind it for some men. :p

Is it also a trend thing? And don't give me 'men don't care about trends...' maybe men are just as brainwashed about what beauty is?
