Forget Lance, Levi could win the Vuelta

I admire and respect the hell out of Lance, but I just wanted to throw some love Levi Leipheimer's way.

After eleven stages, Levi is in second place by just eleven seconds!

His teammate on Astana and former Tour de France winner, Alberto Contador, is in third.

Astana has some tough choices to make.

Alberto is ridding in his home country, but this could be Levi's last chance for something big (not that the Tour of California isn't huge ;))

  • GO LEVI!

I haven't been following the Vuelta, too many other things interfering. But I want Levi to win. He deserves a big win. Contador has lots of years ahead of me.

Also, if Lance joins Astana he will be stealing all of the glory from Levi AND the others next year.

Big fan of Levi but Ill be (personally) pissed if he wins. Had a fortune on him in the 2007 tour so I consider he owes me :D

Reminds me a bit of Cadel....just grinds away with no major turn of foot (well maybe a little more than the one-speed-Del).

Yeah he's definitely a winning chance from where he is.

BIG hill in the next stage......Sastre to maybe jump up the GC a little?

Well...Levi gave it his best, but it looks like Alberto's going to do it.

Too bad most Americans won't hear about his feat: one of only five cyclists to win all three grand tours!

    Muy Bien Alberto!
