are a handful, lol. i hate how it feels like with certain people you have to put so much effort into a friendship. we're best friends, why do i have to do work to keep it that way..? and why do they have to change. and why do you get feelings for a friend. why is this so complicated haha.

    Honestly, I have always been a much better friend then my friends have been to me.
    It has always bothered me. There are many things that I would do for a friend that I know they would not do for me.

    Yeah thats how i always feel too. liek im always there to listen to them complain and i wont cut them off or try to turn it back to me liek all my friends do to me. if i ihave a problem they shrug it off. if they are feeling upset, i burn them a cd and get them chocolate i always wished for once itd be the other way around.

    Agree.I'm having a hellish time with a friend I have had for 20 years.She has always been hard work.But she has been even harder over the past few years.I always have to invest the time,calling her,trying to arrange meet ups.I have gotten really fed up and stopped doing it.I got a mental call from her this week freaking out at me that I hadnt been in touch,caliming I had been ignoring texts that I didnt even get.I dont have the energy for her loony toon acts any longer.Friendships should just flow especially after 20 years.Its exhausting.

    yeah that really sucks i just feel though like friends should be the one thing in your life that you can fall; back on, the good thing in your life, no work needed. i dunno i just think lately its been sucky.

    I have decided that life is too short to be around anyone that makes you feel so awful. Granted, there are those we love who get to us and do not mean to and in those situations we need to evaluate whether or not we can handle the drama or whatever in that frame.

    But there are also those who you can tell are self absorbed and it starts to feel like you are invisible to them and that the friendship is one sided.

    The thing is that friendship is suppose to be a good thing and when it isn't it's time to really think about what you need to do.

    Hopefully now you realise that the only certainties in life are death, taxes and other people going out of their way to make you miserable until the day you die.
