Life gets better after 30. I firmly believe this! :D
    Happy Happy Birthday GTD!!!!

I'm never as good as when you're there.........
  • You've accomplished a lot!

Have a wonderful birthday. I hope you ring in the 30's in a fun way. And go easy on yourself.. make that your birthday present ;)
  • almost 15 men
Does that mean one of them was only 1/2 of a man?

    Part man part pig perhaps??

    :8)
  • Congratulations on living through all of that!! :D

Hope you have a good birthday tomorrow. :)

I always take pause when I'm inside the last hour before it turns midnight on my birthday. It's a good chance to reflect on what I did over the year. Sounds like you're doing the same...but for a whole decade! I consider that a bigger deal than New Year's Eve, in a way.

Whatever you decide to do! That's the beauty of life... keep doing things you enjoy, and you will probably have a better list when you say goodbye to your 30's.

I did a lot of things in my 20's, but so far into my 30's, in just 3 years I maybe on pace to do less "things", but what I've done so far makes all of those 20's experience, pale in comparison.

The 30's are way better than the 20's. Enjoy them. Happy birthday!

The one and only birthdate that literally freaked me out. I was depressed for the next 6 months, it seemed I really had to grow up and I did.

After that it's been all good since.

Well it looks like you certainly got the most out of those years. I see you have 15 men and 70 lbs in your list, so you must either be a woman or a gay body builder.

I think the 20's have a different meaning for women as compared to men. For men, the mid-20's signify when the brain has finally finished developing, and so there's a significant period of personality changes that happens during that time. At least that was the case for me.

I'm not sure when the female brain stops developing, but it's common knowledge that they certainly start maturing at an earlier age, and so I guess it's to be expected that the "wisdom" that sets in during the mid-20's for men happens at an earlier age for women.

But, not everybody is the same. I think we all have that point in our lives when we are hit with a series of epiphanies that have a lasting impact on our outlook.

Perhaps it was at guy #10 or #12 that you realized what you really wanted from men, and from that point on you made sure every guy you dated was a dedicated pearl jam fan and an accomplished manual transmission user.

    that's great advice :)

You've quite a list there gtd... have a wonderful birthday and let's hope the 30s are even better to ya :)

thats the same as John Candy use to have for breakfast.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

yeah I just was about to go to bed and I was like "Oh no, when I wake up I'll be in my 30s!" and I was trying to remember what the 20s have been like, and I was hoping that I had actually done stuff during them!

I have to say, the 15 pearl jam shows (out of 17 total) were really the best part.

  • You will feel the same way at 29 and 364 days as you will on that 30th birthday. I thought it would be a monumental change and it wasn't. Just a day to kick it with your friends, have a drink, and laugh that you've made this far considering all the crazy, stupid shit you've done in your life.

    Enjoy the company you keep.

    Happy birthday.

    30, huh?
    What'd you get for gifts?
  • Happy Birthday! Don't fear the 30's. So far they've been great. :) I definitely don't party like I used to but that's okay by me.
