i haven't had one in about 3 years, but I put one up this year...I forgot how sparkely my ornaments are! the tree is only like 4-5 feet but I couldn't stop looking at it last night! Unfortunately I rarely have guests...I'm going to have to invite people over just to see the tree!

We purchased our tree yesterday and it is naked as the day it was chopped down, standing in our living room trying to stretch it's aching branches from being tied up S&M stylins when it was stolen from the clan in the forest. Tonight we adorn that green monster with lights and glitter.
You've changed your place in this world!

there is a huge argument in my family over what kind of trees are the best for smell and ease of hanging ornaments. But of course, non of us can keep straight which ones are which- Frasier, Bolsom, Douglas- so the argument never gets anywhere from year to year.

The Frasier fir are the ones which we used to call Douglas fir in California. :)
At the farm here in NY, they had a chart with the branches and I learned that the kind I like are really Frasiers. :)
