*~You're IT Bert!~*
Hold on to the thread
The currents will shift
Definitely benefits
The ONLY thing better than a glass of beer is tea with Miss McGill
A protuberance of flesh above the waistband of a tight pair of trousers
i have read there can be *benefits*...i think it definitely can help clear out your pores, perhaps sinuses....release toxins? dunno. but they do feel good! i haven't been in one in years though.
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
they really claim it does like everything...I dunno I might try it out at some point and see if I feel anything. I've always been amazed how every single gym locker room has one, but I don't know anyone who uses them.
Benefit? Well, you could probably get me to die in one in about 5 minutes, so if you are ever planning my murder...

From a country that invented the whole thing (apart from Nokia that is the only Finnish word that's used elsewhere) i don't know how to approach this. What are the benefits of good sex or massage? Sauna and a dip into a cool lake/pool will let your body feel the benefits.
Once in Latvia 2 friends and I went to a local spa where they had pools and saunas and in the sauna we saw a finnish made electric heater/stove but they had no bucket of water to use to throw water on it so we went to the showers and carried water with our hands to get some steam out of the stove, which caused all the locals to flee thinking that we're all going to get electrocuted by the water+electricity combo. It was crazy, just like driving a ferrari but never going beyond the 1st gear. The Swedes even read newspapers in their saunas like it's a f#cking lounge. I wish people learned how to use it to feel the benefits.
I just wanted to say your name is so rad...
makes me think of both Mother Love bone and THIS:
BROTHER LOVE'S TRAVELING SALVATION SHOW
Written by Neil Diamond
Hot August night
And the leaves hanging down
And the grass on the ground smelling sweet
Move up the road
To the outside of town
And the sound of that good gospel beat
Sits a ragged tent
Where there ain't no trees
And that gospel group
Telling you and me
It's Love
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies
Grab the old ladies
Everyone goes
Everyone knows
Brother Love's show
Room gets suddenly still
And when you'd almost bet
You could hear yourself sweat, he walks in
Eyes black as coal
And when he lifts his face
Every ear in the place is on him
Starting soft and slow
Like a small earthquake
And when he lets go
Half the valley shakes
It's Love, Love
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies
Grab the old ladies
Everyone goes
Everyone knows
Brother Love's show
Sermon
Take my hand in yours
Walk with me this day
In my heart, I know
I will never stray
Halle, halle, halle, halle, halle, halle, halle
It's Love, Love
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies
Grab the old ladies
Everyone goes
Everyone knows
Brother Love's show
and anytime I can think of MLB and Neil Diamond I am one happy-grinnin' cheshire cat...:D
LOL Thank you for the kind words. My cyberself feels proud now
MLB/Neil Diamond/B-class porn star, it's all good.
you're not supposed to throw water on the electric ones! if you don't get electrocuted, it will screw with the heater. lol, there's a big sign in my gym that says not to do it.
Yes i don't know have big the whole sauna industry is right now so if the chinese have started to make stoves it's maybe better not to throw water at them but the original ones need water. That's where the steam comes when the water vaporizes on the hot stove, otherwise it's just warm air. Turkish sauna is of course different and is more like a steam room rather than an actual sauna and resembles a rain forest where it is mildly warm and freaking wet.
haha, that scene didn't make it look all that relaxing
Oh yes, thanks to basic greek mythology studies persephone is of course a well know character but still perse means butt/ass in finnish so the idea of an assphone that doesn't even work makes me smile as well... hehee
Benefits: You get to see naked ladies.
...
Downside: Jail and a criminal record.
Hail, Hail!!!
muahahahaaaa wow...I really really like you...*commence flirting with a Fin...my first you know...woah..haven't had one of those in a while...
perse is ass in finnish...god, I love that...
The wonders of the internet i guess. Well i'll put some Neil Diamond on and in the meantime you get your perse in my sauna so we can take this to the next level ...although sauna is purely for cleansing the body and soul
I have only been in a sauna twice and to be honest - It was very uncomfortable...I couldn't sit in there for longer that about ten minutes...I felt like I was being turned into food...
:( scaaary...
I remember when i was 8 our female substitute gym teacher came to the sauna naked with us boys in the local swimming hall and i remember it feeling a bit...umm, surprising but it didn't turn any of us rapists and it wasn't the last time i've been in a sauna with a nude attractive woman without taking it any further. During the ages from 0-6/7 finnish kids commonly go to the sauna with their parents. Naked human body and sex is a totally different concept.
I like the connection with the sauna and the family - and the treatment of the dead is especially interesting...I like to learn how other cultures deal with the dead, and with their families...stop me before I say something so banal that it should be part of the dialog for "The Lion King"
Of course in the old days (well 50-60 years from now here) death was more natural part of life. If you had 6 children probably one or two died young and old people had a good and long life by those standards so when they died it was concidered a way to move on to a better place, which nowadays is not a clear concept since even if the world is almost worse the famlies are so much smaller and the idea of good life has changed so that the loss of life feels unfair.
With nakedness things have and are changing too but the idea of seeing a naked human body is not a harmful to a child it's the concept where the nakedness is shown. If you show pornmovies to a kid constantly i'm sure something will turn out wrong in him/her but just seeing a naked person in non sexual familiar setting can't be harming. Not saying naturalism is the way to go but sauna is one of the most natural private places of all. The way i see it is that if a person is brought up to be in shock of a nude female/man and is protected of exposure to seeing a naked person other than him/herself before adulthood it's pretty likely that they will grow to be overly obsessed about women or men or that they get aroused by the sensual parts they are allowed to watch like shoes, panties whatever. Still all and all fetishes occur no matter what and sauna is not a solution to normal sex life but it has helped at least me not to completely obsess about the female body since i knew what to expect before i even got some ...Edit: although it turned out to be better than expected and i've started to obsess afterwards
dammit - I wish I wasnt signing off soon---this has been interesting!
I agree about the exposure of the human body, and I like that you noted that fetishes generally began with the sensual body parts that were attainable being over-sexualized...of course not all fetishes fall under this category...but still, I concur.
I completely agree with your family/life cycle assessment as well. We used to have our elderly stay in the home with us (no retirement homes) we also revered the aged, instead of encouraging them to fight the natural passing of time...this incorporating all of the life stages would seem to be the best manner to expose children and each other to the richness of life...
ahhh I gotta go...I will be looking for you to talk in the future...
My pleasure,it certainly was fun. Thank you for this, have a good day or whatever time of the day it's there now. Hopefully we'll talk again.
