Man its going to be weird now that flair is retired. I do have to say that the ceremony the wwe gave him on Raw was the most touching thing I've ever seen wwe do for a living wrestler very cool. I take alot of crap for being a wrestling fan these days, and when people ask me how can I watch crap like that is scripted the answer is simple, because of moments like that on Raw. Made me proud to be a wrestling fan.

  • It was incredible. I kept waiting for a brawl to start, or for someone to attack Flair, or even worse, mcMahon to come out.

I'm pissed I missed it... haven't watched wrestling in almost a year but I always liked watching the HoF inductions. Ric Flair is great... a limousine-ridin', jet-flyin', kiss-stealin', wheelin'-dealin' son of a gun.

Ric Flair is one of the stiffest wrestlers I've ever seen, his matches are all the same and I don't think he's much of a talent in true wrestling terms. He's good with the mic, that's about it.

Brett Hart, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Eddie Gurrero, Ricky Steamboat, Dynamite Kid, Rey Mesterio, RVD, far better technical wrestlers by a landslide, and there's more that can be added to that list.

I thought the same thing when HHH's music hit I thought shit he's going to beat up Flair. I read after Raw went off the air Vince and Undertaker came out to pay their respect to Flair.
  • shoulda retired 15 years ago, but he did amuse me.

They did an impromptu ceremony for him a few years ago. It's on his dvd. I got teary when he got superkicked my Michaels at WM24. And he was laying on the mat crying. Knowing that was it.

If you've ever had an interest in wrestling, go youtube the 2 part Farewell by/to Ric. Great TV. It was perfect. I thought they'd do more for him at the HOF awards, but they mostly seemed interesting in Promo'ing The Rock. The night after RAW made up for it.
  • I went to Youtube to catch the HOF ceremony since I missed it. Wow, i didn't expect to find just about the entire Wrestlemania card. So I watched Flair/Michaels. You can say wrestling is fake, and it is. But the emotion in that match, from both HBK and Flair, is 100% real

I hope they're releasing a special WM24 DVD with the HOF induction and the Raw after WM24.

And it's cool McMahon + WWE gave Flair a proper exit instead making some sort of a gimmick out of it. Remember Lita's last match?

I like how they had the Batista/Michaels feud started there as well with a close up of Batista staring Michaels down for retiring Flair. Shawn might carry "Botchista" a good match.

yeah that was when WWE started to suck with the brand extension.

 really? Sarah, his wife, was involved in his angles for awhile during the biker gimmick around '02-'03. Now Taker's banging Michelle McCool, who just finished an angle with Jamie Noble and Chuck Palumbo, a biker guy. Weird!
