What does everyone do with their tour posters?

I'm planning on framing all of mine and putting them up in my home office or possibly throughout the house (assuming my wife goes for that). I haven't framed any of them yet and I'm contemplating either doing it myself (never done it before so I have no idea if it's difficult or easy) or taking it to a framing specialist (preferably a cheap one, maybe Michael's). Anyone have recommendations on framing myself vs. paying a specialist? I have about a dozen PJ and non-PJ posters that are frame-worthy -- would love to have purchased a poster at every concert I went to instead of the occasional T-shirt!!!! What was I thinking???

t-shirt = worthless
poster = $$$$$ (although I'd never sell it -- maybe for charity).

So what do you all do with your posters? Frame them? Put them on your walls at home? Buy them only to sell on eBay? Buy to sell for charity? Do you buy one at every concert? Just curious as to what other Jammers do with their posters -- hence this posting.
Rock on!

I have 5 or 6 posters and made the first 2 framed by a professional in December. the others will follow.
If you want to put the frames in your house, go with a professional framer.

i have three framed and displayed in my living room, one in my bedroom, and the rest are in mylar sleeves under the bed.
  • I have mine framed on my wall. I only get the ones from the shows I've been too. I have more to get, but either they're too much $$$ (any of the 98' shows) or I'm out of wall space.

I cut them into squares and put them in the downstairs lav in case of emergencies.

Only joking I give them to these people.

  • i only get the ones from shows i've been to (missing a few)
and i have about six framed.

by the way, michael's isn't cheap...
i've had better luck with smaller private framing shops.

they've given me a little discount when i've done more than one or two at a time, but you have to speak up and ask :)

    "the waiting drove me mad..."
  • I had quite a few framed, and our last apartment was covered with them. Then we got sort of tired of them, sold them and went to the Bahamas. :D I REGRET NOTHING!!

And I sold a STL 98 and we bought a video camera with the money from that. :)

I still have a few left, and they're in the den/art project room/spare bedroom. :)
  • I was actually big into collecting them a few years ago. I became bored really quick, eventually sold them all except for the shows i have been too and hung a few of those in my office. The rest are under my bed collecting dust bunnies. It became pointless buying certain posters for 100 bucks or more sometimes and then having to find the time to get trades out on time which I hardly ever had time to do. Now I just collect paychecks
