Man how awesome is it that we can have all this music right at our fingers?
It's awesome on a long road trip with an iTrip-type device.

Oh yes it is. I'm still a little amazed that I have all the albums I ever owned in my pocket at one time. How did I used to know which CDs to bring out with me? haha

I have 9800 right now and I'm feeling like this is pretty big compared to most people's collections. However I wonder how it compares to people on this thread since we collect the boots.

And even though 10k may seem like a lot I know of people having over 30k.

I don't have an mp3 player but I've been thinking of getting one....one thing that concerns me is what happens when you run out of space..do you start deleating things.. I'm so used to CDs and such and having music on hand and ready whenever I want to hear it....this is one reason why I don't have an mp3 player...

It takes a bit of time to import the collection. But I promise you, you will NOT regret it for a minute once you're finished. :)

put stuff on an external hard drive I guess. But not having all your stuff on one computer is pretty lame to me.

If you have a small mp3 player, you might have to get selective on what songs you'd put on it, etc. My suggestion is to order the biggest, baddest player you can afford. I bought the 160-gig one, and with 23,000+ songs on it (roughly 2300 albums if each album has roughly 10 songs), and it fills up about 2/3 of 160 gigs...

    Hope that helps.
