It seams hard to believe that the series is now finished. The last episode was very appropriate.

I enjoyed every season. It's hard for me to think of a TV show that I've like more.

Bravo to David Simon!

  • I'm trying to get into the show. I watched half of the first episode (of the first season) but it didn't hold my attention enough to keep me awake late at night. I'll give it another go soon.

Each season is gradual crescendo with a payoff that is well worth the journey. It helps to see several episodes all at once or closely together.

a close friend of mine(who got me into the show) used to describe the wire to me and said that even what seems like the most insignificant character or action can come back at a later date . and it isnt until then that you realise what it was you saw earlier.
personally, im still dealing with the whole snoop incident.
    hear my name

I was actually teary-eyed last night thinking that I'll never get to see a new episode again. Best show ever in my unprofessional opinion. Sad to see it end.

    with an illegal smile
    it don't cost very much
but it lasts a long while
won't you please tell the man
    i didn't kill anyone

I was teary-eyed too. Brilliant use of "Down In the Hole" for final montage. There's never been a show of such high quality or sheer ambition, and I doubt there ever will be.

Watching Dukie was devastating. Haunting image.

I saw Dukie's situation unfolding like that.

I was surprised by the emergence of the "new" Omar.
